The Calm Conversations session gave me phrases I had simply never thought of before. There was a moment in the practice where I actually felt the tension drop in my own body — that was unexpected. The facilitator was composed and never let the group stray into personal territory. I felt safe the entire time.

We were drowning in paperwork and neither of us knew where anything was. The Home Records Organiser gave us a system that both of us understood from day one. Setting it up with the Mendwell team meant we actually built something together instead of one person doing it and the other not knowing how it worked.

The Rebuilding Routines programme was four weeks that I genuinely looked forward to each time. I came in expecting a generic course and instead found something that took the specific pressures of a changing household seriously. By week three we had an actual working plan — not perfect, but real and ours.

I had tried other resources before and found them either too clinical or too vague. The Calm Conversations session struck a different balance. The group was small enough that the facilitator had time for questions, and the practice scenarios were close enough to real life to feel useful without making anyone uncomfortable.

I appreciated that Mendwell was clear about what it does and does not do. At one point I asked something that was clearly outside their scope and they were straightforward about pointing me elsewhere — and the referral they gave was actually useful. That kind of honesty is unusual.

The Home Records Organiser was something my ex-partner and I both attended together. It gave us a neutral, practical project to work on, and the templates were actually quite good. I still use the routine planner now and update it every month. Worth considerably more than the cost.

A family adjusting to shared custody
Rebuilding Routines · March – April 2025
The Situation
Two parents, recently separated, were struggling to coordinate schedules for their two children. Each week brought confusion over school pick-ups, medical appointments, and extracurricular activities. Neither had a reliable shared system.
What They Did
Both parents attended all four sessions of the Rebuilding Routines Programme. They worked on communication vocabulary for handover moments and used the shared planning templates to build a household schedule for each week.
After the Programme
By week four, both parents reported fewer missed handovers and a reduction in the tension around scheduling conversations. One parent noted that having shared language — words both of them had practised — made a tangible difference.
"The sessions gave us a common starting point. We did not agree on everything, but we agreed on the language."
An expatriate couple relocating households
Home Records Organiser · June 2025
The Situation
A couple from the UK and Australia, living in Khon Kaen, found themselves holding documents, contacts, and household responsibilities in two separate phone contacts apps, several email folders, and a paper file no one could find. Navigating Thai institutions added an extra layer of friction.
What They Did
They came to the Home Records Organiser session together. In the two-hour setup, they built a shared household folder structure and populated the contacts and document templates with their existing information under facilitator guidance.
After the Programme
Both now access the same system. They noted that the Thai institution contacts section was particularly useful — having the numbers, addresses, and reference numbers in one place reduced their anxiety around renewals and appointments considerably.
"It sounds simple — it is simple. That is why it worked."
